Dr. Alec D. Gallimore Named Duke’s Next Provost

Dr. Alec D. Gallimore, the current Dean of Engineering at the University of Michigan, has been appointed Duke University’s next provost and chief academic officer effective July 1, 2023. Dr. Gallimore has a record of innovative leadership, including founding the Plasmadynamics and Electric Propulsion Laboratory and pioneering People-First Engineering.
