Dr. Lisa McElroy: Making Transplant Selection More Equitable

Dr. Lisa McElroy (SOM), the Onyekwere E. Akwari Assistant Professor of Surgery and assistant professor in population health sciences at Duke is working  to create a more equitable organ transplant selection process. She hopes that her proposal, which considers issues such as racial disparities in referrals and transplant, will promote fairness and increase access to life saving procedures.
