The Office for Faculty Advancement at Duke University has awarded seed grants to 14 projects led by faculty members, including Dr. Michael Cary and Dr. Jacquelyn McMillian-Bohler (DUSON). Dr. Cary is leading the SPARC Initiative, which aims to eliminate bias in algorithms used for decision-making and resource allocation in patient care by bringing together experts from various disciplines.
