Duke Divinity School Professors David Emmanuel Goatley, Ph.D., director of the Office of Black Church Studies and a research professor of theology and Black Church Studies, and Will Willimon, S.T.D., director of the Doctor of Ministry Program and professor of the Practice of Christian Ministry, hosted a series of online conversations with Duke Divinity School alumni around this critical calling for the Church today and in the future. The conversations looked at how pastors, particularly in predominately white congregations, can speak honestly and faithfully, hopefully and redemptively, about the sin of white supremacy, as well identify some of the pitfalls and possibilities, challenges and opportunities, of allowing the Gospel to speak to American's racial past and present.
