Dr. Timothy Lovelace, is a professor of Law at Duke University and his work examines how the civil rights movement in the United States helped to shape international human rights law.  In this new article entitled “Xenophobic Conspiracy Theories and the Long Roots of January Sixth”, Dr. Lovelace examines the current polarization in U.S. politics by considering how white nationalists have historically used xenophobic conspiracy theories to render some Americans as un-American, suppress votes, and undermine efforts to make the polity more inclusive.
