Dr. Claudius “CB” Claiborne receives Centennial Honor in 2023

Claudius "CB" Claiborne, Duke's first Black basketball player in 1965, graduated in 1969, overcoming several challenges in a world that was still segregated. The Duke Basketball team honored him in 2023 with custom jerseys bearing Claiborne’s number 23.
