Dr. William “Sandy” Darity (Sanford), speaking at the Pulitzer Center's '1619 Project' Education Conference, encouraged educators to think creatively about engaging students by exploring contemporary issues that resonate with them. His "The Black Reparations Project: A Handbook for Racial Justice," was also selected as a finalist for a 2024 PROSE Award from the Association of American Publishers in the Economics category.
