Dr. Zakiyyah Iman Jackson’s work focuses on interdisciplinarity by blending research and knowledge coming from literature, gender and sexuality, African and African American studies, and art. Dr. Jackson (Literature) seeks to redefine our understanding of what it means to be human and in particular what defines a human in a world permeated with anti-Black sentiment.
